When you see life through the eyes of a vampire, you see the true colors of the world.



Well.... this was SOOOO not what I was expecting. Just like book 1 - thought I had an idea how this would go and well HAHAHA Jokes on ME!



Mia has almost let her humanity go



and she has started to embrace the vampire side of herself. The whole book she struggles to fight off her inner vampire, who calls herself Maya. A little alter ego action.



Then there is Evan - her trainer.... SWOON- they both want one another but its off limits.



There is a ton of chemistry between the two. He also is supposed to help Mia keep Maya at bay. That really doesn't work out too well.

The ending of this book had me BUG EYED.



I was like WHAT HUH??? WTAF just happened?? I don't know if this series will have another book or not. But either way- the ending was like so unexpected that I could almost be satisfied with its conclusion....maybe...

Limerence Book 1 by Claire C Riley

4 Stars!! All righty then.... well this was not what I was expecting when I downloaded this lil gem to my kindle. This book was a legit WTF- book. Despite being desperately in love and engaged to Oliver- Mia, finds herself attracted to Mr. Breckt. She cant explain why just being in the presence of her fiancés boss, makes her feel things she knows she shouldn't be feeling. Her thoughts her feelings- even when she is away, Mr. Breckt consumes her mind. Mr Breckt is used to getting what he wants, and now he wants Mia, at any cost! With his obsession spiraling out of control, he knows that time is running out. A war is coming. Blood will be shed, and lives will be lost, but he will have to rid himself of his obsession of Mia before it’s too late. Mia and Oliver must fight to hold onto what they both share. If either one of them fails, it could cost both of them in the end. This is a vampire story- just not the kind where the vampires start to sparkle in the sunlight. UMMM NO.... These vampires are old school. Like the kind from interview with the vampire. They cry tears of blood and sweat blood. They don't have much humanity and they aren't sweet and cuddly. This is a dark, well written story- full of lust, obsession and Love. I loved Ollie and Mia together. They were so sweet and just perfection. I couldn't stand Mr. Breckt, but at the same time- his character was presented flawlessly. You cant help but hate him yet love his character for what it is. The beginning of this was a little slow for me, but after about the 50 % mark- I was in for the long haul. That's where things really started to pick up and the action and drama really started to unfold. The last 20% was soooo intense. With a cliffhanger that left me only wanting more. I cant wait to read part 2!! If you're into vampires- you should give this one a go!!

Odium Book 6 by Claire C Riley

“The only thing this world was made for was death. It’ll kill us all equally, given the chance,” he said darkly. “Doesn’t matter whether you’re a man or a woman, black or white, gay or straight. Death is coming for us all.”



Pretty much felt like that guy reading this one.... this book pissed me off so bad.. I rated it a 4 because duh - writing but like if we wanna rate this based on emotions... big fat 2! BECAUSE I AM NOT OK after that cliffhanger.

Not much has changed as far as my love for this series. I have literally been on the edge of my seat for this whole ride. The world is starting to completely fall apart around Nina and Mikey. They find themselves fighting something bigger than the zombies. But when death is all there is- Mikey and Nina both run into danger willingly. And the reader is caught up in all this mess dealing with their emotions alone. ITS SO MUCH FUN! (enter sarcasm)



The plot continues to be full of action, heartache, death and romance. There is still the constant presence of blood, gore, and terror. We see humans being worse than the deaders/zombies in this one.


Nina continues to try and work out her feelings between Mikey and Shooter.

"Shooter and I were two different people. We came from two very different worlds. And if it weren’t for the apocalypse, we never would have met."

The whole love triangle thing in the middle of an apocalypse gives me anxiety... and I need her to figure her crap out. We lost a few people and met some new ones. We see a little bit more of clans working together and seeing a bigger threat.

Overall- I'm ready for the next book. This one made me angry but also, kept me entertained. My ship is just sinking and I need it to not do that!! If you haven't picked up this series, I still 100 percent recommend you go do it!!

Odium Book 5 by Claire C Riley

Not gonna have much to say about this one... Other than OMG... These books are seriously like crack. And right now... Right now my emotions are on overload and I need to reign them in. You see... I love this author, for her ability to get me this emotional and this invested... She needs a standing O like - NOW.



I have had a ship from jump street and Author Riley is RAINING ZOMBIE brains ALL OVER IT. And I am not happy about it. BUT - ohhhh the conflict it brings!! And the DRAMA!! Im here for that ... MAYBE.

We started this wild journey staying in crazy walled camps, seen tree house living, psycho camps, crazy carnival people and now...in this installment we see biker gangs and cannibals. This series seriously does get better with each book. You never know what you are going to come across.



So if you have read these up until this point.. Im sure you are feeling like I am- if you're not then ... I dont even know. But for those of you who have not you may want to stop here. Cuz Im about to vent.

Odium Book 4 by, Claire C Riley

4 Stars!!  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Hope: it clings on long after you want it to let go, daring you to wish for more.” We follow Mikey, crazy pants (Joan) , and Adam- who are now running for their life. They run into a lot of trouble on their way to safety. They also find a good place to lay their head for a while. Mikey is still devastated since Nina is presumed dead, and sacrificed herself to let the others get away.. He is trying to hold it all together in front of everyone but going crazy in his head. This book includes new characters that we meet at a NEO .. No ... Not that Neo silly ...(I had the same thought) NEO stands for New Earth Order. The leader of this group is Aiken and seems to be a pretty good chap. There is also O'Donnell - a woman who just cant keep her eyes off Mikey (INSERT EYEROLL HERE). And a hippie named Phil, who is obsessed with odd animals- among other interesting characters. There is multiple first person POVs in this installment. Most of it being told from Mikeys POV- which is different because we are used to Ninas POV. We get a lot of crazy going on in here. There is a shootout, and a creepy dead carnival with all shapes and sizes of CRAZY... and CLOWNS. Suspense and terror abound yet again in this fourth book. Claire takes us on the ride that never stops! Full of emotional obstacles, as well as life or death. Horror rains - and doesn't let up. With fantastic writing and so character driven you cant help but pick up the next book to see whats going to happen next! This wasn't my favorite of the series... but it was still so much fun!! It was a little depressing and all the unknown hanging in the balance had me on the edge of my seat. I just missed Nina for a long time in this book!! But the new characters were so good that .. ok sooo maybe I didn't miss her THAT MUCH. :P So many twists and turns with an ending that leaves you wanting more.. Odium Book 3 by Claire C Riley

5 Stars!! “There must be sacrifices—to save the ones we love, to protect those that need protecting. We must love freely, forgive quickly, and keep pushing onward, because you never know when it will be too late.” Book 3 has been the best one yet !!! I swear these books are so good- full of twists and turns, horror, blood, gore, survival and extremely funny moments! This books literally dives right in from where you left off in the previous book and does not come up for air. Things are tense in the camp between Mikey and Nina. So Nina and Nova take a little trip to find someone they have been looking for. They end up finding something that they thought could only exist in your nightmares. They also run into a bit of trouble, and end up meeting some new VERY interesting folks on their journey. Like Joan... AkA Crazy Pants. Nora and Ninas banter in this book was so Fabulous. These books are so character driven!!! To the point that half the time I forget these are horror books about zombies!! I love that aspect so much! Both women are head strong and have "take no shit" attitudes. So they are constantly knocking heads and having the best arguments. Its amazing.. trust me. My heart is constantly on guard because you never know who might be gone next. Never get comfortable with those you love because Riley has a way of making you fall in love with her characters. Then she makes you feel every emotion possible... and a lot of times... your heart ends up exploding from pain. Odium Book 2 by, Claire C Riley

5 Stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ‘your body is not ruined, you’re a goddamn tiger who earned her stripes.’ These marks,” I take her hand in mine, “these are my stripes, Emily, and these are my proof that I survived.” Well what a fun ride this was!! I LOVE CLAIRE RILEY!! Wow- This book picked right up where book 1 left off. Nina, Emily and Mikey are in trouble and their fate lies in the hands of the Forgotten- not to mention every deader zombie along the way. Nina has been through hell and while she is trying to get her physical strength back, her emotions are all over the place. Hell MY emotions were all over the place.... The beginning of this book is savage. Nina is being tortured, Mickey seems to have jumped ship and Emily seems to be getting cozy with the enemy. This is observations that Nina is making which in turn- pisses her off. Rule of Thumb- Don't piss Nina off- Just DONT DO IT. We get to see a TON of new characters through out this book. Some are the enemy- some are fun and heartwarming and some are just bat shit CRAZY. The deaders do not take a step back, they remain the highlight and are still in full force throughout this installment. The action is still at full speed. The one thing about this book though is it made me laugh SO MUCH. I mean yeah... its a zombie book and people are going nuts but man... there are some FUNNY moments. Nina is such a great main character. She falls under any name you use to identify her with. She's sassy, savage, tough and can be a huge BITCH. But she is still top - notch. The characters are always on the move and something is always happening. We see major character growth with our main characters and get to watch their relationships with each other blossom so much. There are a ton of twists and turns and Mrs. Riley did not hold back with the emotions. There is something so unique about her characters dialogue. I am so ready for book 3!! If you haven't started this series yet- GO DO IT :P And come back and we can discuss!

Odium 0.5 Ninas Story by Claire C Riley

You think you have seen fear before, witnessed it for all of its glory. You think you know it, but you don’t. You couldn’t truly know what it was to fear something or someone, to feel fear’s hands clasping you by the spine, ready to drag your body apart. Not until you have witnessed a hell like we had.

What a freaking Prologue/Novella !! This one started and took off at a sprint !! I love it! I have read Riley's- Thicker than Blood series a while back and it left me completely and utterly devastated but yet, foaming at the mouth for more. I love her writing style and the ability she has to really make her characters feel real and "normal". I was in the mood for something else similar-So when I stumbled across this series- I WAS ALL FOR IT!

This book can either be read before or after book 1 of the Odium Series. Odium by definition means -
General or widespread hatred or disgust directed toward someone as a result of their actions.

Which totally makes sense for this book - since its a book about the end of the world and Zombies -or what they are sometimes called in the book- Deaders. I prefer zombies but.... whatever :P



This book was the story of Nina our main character from the series. We get to see her beginnings and... well basically how everything started and went to shit - like real fast. To be honest Nina was kind of shallow at the beginning of this. After you read some of the series, her character growth is phenomenal. But for this little novella- the virus is just breaking out and we see where she and all the crazy started.

It’s the end of the world, and the dead have risen. Devastation reins and destruction lives.
Mankind is holding on by bloody and desperate fingers. Death comes when you least expect it; in the quiet of the night or in the harsh light of day. It sneaks in and takes everyone and everything you ever loved, until you’re left with nothing at all. And the person standing in the aftermath is forever changed.



I really recommend reading this book first - maybe because I did... but really- do what you want. I just loved how fast paced it was and I finished it so fast because so much was happening and I fell in love with the side characters and I just wanted more! I am totally looking forward to the rest of this series- if you have not read this author before- I HIGHLY Recommend her. Her writing is very unique, witty and just amazing!
