This was a re-read for me so that I can finish out the series... The first time I read this was years ago and I rated it a 5. Its amazing how I forgot absolutely everything about this book so it was sort of like reading it for the first time. After reading it again I have dropped my rating down a star but it was still pretty good. I have just read better books since then. I enjoyed the story line and the pace of the book. It starts out kind of slow just because of the world building, but picks up towards the end. Some of the characters were a little too juvenile for me this go round and a little annoying. I did like the MCs- Jemma and Trace and the slow burn that led up to the twist at the end. I have also read book 2 before so its going to be interesting to see if I remember anything from it the second go round. Looking forward to finishing out the series. | ||
